Church-wide Overnight Prayer & Fasting
"if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." - 1 Chronicles 7:14
"...My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations..." - Mark 11:17
How desperate are God's people to long for God's holy presence in their lives? Are you? Does your soul thirst for His living water? Is your day filled with joyful anticipation in meeting with God in His Word, in Prayer... with excitement to live out His revealed truth in a spirit of brokenness and obedience?
If we expect this spiritual condition to spontaneously spring out of our Christian walk, without a daily moment to moment dependence on the Lord for His divine intervention and provision for wisdom, guidance, strength, and loving compassion, then our Christian journey is heading to a path of despair and apathy. We need Him because "apart from ME you can do NOTHING," Jesus said this Himself. This is true in our personal walk with Christ and true in our corporate walk as a church.
Let us all be desperate for Him!!! PRAY for revival in our relationship with Him, for His love and for His service; revival in the hearts of our spouses, in our children and in the body of believers... for God to bring healing in our hurting spirit, broken relationships, our ailing nation and the world... REVIVAL FOR A RENEWED DEDICATION TO LOVE GOD with all our hearts, mind and strength and to LOVE THE WORLD that HE LOVES SO MUCH to die for. What does it take for God's people to wake up from spiritual complacency and mediocrity? God is so serious in His love for us. He expressed this on the CROSS! How about us? How broken are we for the lost? How much does our spirit yearn for the presence of the Holy Spirit? How hungry are we for the Word of God and eager doers of His Word? How much do we share His agony in the garden of Gethsemane? Are we willing to join Jesus in PRAYER or the disciples in their sleep?
This is the heart message of the upcoming CHURCH-WIDE OVERNIGHT PRAYER AND FASTING on July 3 - 4, 2009 from 8pm - 8am, at First Philippine Baptist Church. Come and join us as we plead before the throne of GOD'S GRACE AND MERCY.
May our PRAYERS be a sweet incense to our GOD that when He releases His answer, it will create thunder, lightning and eathquakes in our lives, in our families, in our churches, in our cities and the world.
HIS NAME BE PRAISED AND WORSHIPED FOREVERMORE!
